Job Mission       
Maintain and modify the implementation of the software development environment, in co-operation with departmental architects and the internal customer.

Job Description
• Take ownership of (parts of) the software development environment as provided to the internal customer.  The software development environment is used by approximately 2000 developers.
• Participate as technical expert in projects within the IT CCP ST Software SEI group.
• Define and implement improvement proposals that focus on system performance and process efficiency for end-users.
• Give support in solving difficult 3rd line incidents.
• Strong partner in discussions with the departmental architects and stakeholders within the internal customer departments.
• Keep abreast with relevant literature, means and methods.

Context of the position
For ICT infrastructure, hardware and applications are absolutely mission-critical for almost all ASML’s internal and external activities.
A sub-department within the IT organization is IT CCP ST (Competence Center Product Solution Team); this department is responsible for the infrastructure and tooling for the development organization. Within IT CCP ST three development disciplines are represented: mechanical, electrical and software engineering. The senior SCM expert will be active in the software engineering group.

Education
At least Bachelor level degree or equivalent working experience.
 
Experience
• More than 5 years of relevant experience and proven experience in large technical complicated development environments
• Thorough understanding and practical experience with:
o   Development environments
o   Version control tooling like subversion, Git or Perforce
o   Unix/Linux Hardware infrastructure.
o   Scripting languages like shell scripting, Perl, Ruby or Python
• Knowledge of tooling around version control like Collabnet, Github or Bitbucket server.
• Experience with an object oriented programming language is a pre.
