Job Description:
Customer is looking for a TWS scheduling-developer as an addition to a broadly oriented middleware-team.
The Generic Services team is the connection between the functional application-teams and the infrastructure-teams.
The team is the nerve-centre of the management of a suite of 12 large and interconnected Oracle finance-applications, which are running on Oracle Enterprise Linux on the Oracle EXAdata and EXAlogic platform.
All applications are managed by their own teams, but Generic Services makes the connections and manages generic tasks such as monitoring, scheduling and security.
It is a very challenging and diverse environment, where capable IT-professionals are key and have the opportunity to shine.
The team works in a DevOps way, where everybody takes care of development as well as operations tasks.
This specific function is primarily focused on development tasks, but operational tasks are also part of the job.
The team consists of 18 energetic and proactive collegues varying in profession from DBA’s to functional developers.
Approximately half of the team focuses on security and Identity&Access management, while the other team concerns itself with monitoring (OEM), scheduling (TWS) and linux- and (Oracle) database-management.
It is this part of the team that is looking for a broadly interested IT-professional who enjoys automation of the less challenging work and has extended experience in batch-scheduling development and design in TWS.
The team works in a scrum-setting and everybody generally has an agile-mindset.
Daily activities:
Daily activities consist of designing and developing a complex batch-schedule via TWS/d, automatic deployments from the version-management-tool as well as automating as much work as possible.
The customer-base of the applications is spread throughout the world, which make standby-shifts part of the work.
As a principle everybody partakes in the standby-shifts, which make the individual load relatively low.
