The Job

As a Splunk back-end specialist you are responsible for deploying/developing new and existing Splunk platforms. You will be part of a project team which is driving the implementation of Splunk as an analytics solution for the R&D IT department.

Your main activities will be:

• Advise on Splunk platform changes keeping in mind availability, security and performance
• Draft/update technical design documentation
• Deployment of additional Splunk components (both OS and Splunk Software) such as indexers, search heads and heavy forwarders
• Migrating developed Splunk apps from test/acceptance environments to production
• Additional data onboarding

Requested Skills:

• Proven knowledge and experience in setting up and maintaining the following:

• Reverse web-proxying & load-balancing with NGINX
• RedHat Linux Server OS
• AWS IaaS hosting
• Splunk Heavy forwarders, indexers & search heads in a scale-out set-up
• At least five years of working experience
• Experience in large-scale geo-distributed IT infrastructure (5000+ servers) is a pre
